Youth Ministry
The Saint George Catholic Church Youth Group is a youth ministry for 12-18 year olds.
What does a youth ministry do, you may ask?
- Empower young people to live as disciples of Christ
- Encourage Young people to participate responsibly in the life, mission and works of the faith community.
- Foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
In other words, we do God's work as a youth group and have fun while we do it. As a youth group we are involved in a variety of church and community service activities and with each one we do, we take time out to celebrate our work and have fun.
Some of our community service has included:
- Baby sitting for the learning center
- Yard clean up
- Community Service for Best Friends animal sanctuary
- Christmas shopping for needy families (shopping for KONY kids)
- Church activities have included:
- Working the Christmas Boutique
- Scholarship Dinner
- Cinco de Mayo
Fun Activities have included:
- Movies
- Dances
- Pool Parties
- Super bowl Party
- Pizza with our Deacons and Priests
- Dinners
- Trip to the Olympics
- Wet & Wild
- Game works (team building exercise)
